On the 30th of September 2011 at the call-conference with Mr. Shukeyev U.E., First Deputy of the Prime Minister of the RK, with the participation of representatives of MTC, MF, MEDT, MJ, LRMA, Akimats of Aktobe, Kyzylorda, South-Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Almaty regions and KTZh, Mr. Kamaliev B.S, Minister of Transport and Communications, reported about the matters of Project imple,emtation “Western Europe – Western China”.
References: At present the construction works for the Project are executed at 34 road sections with the length of 1 715 km in four regions – Aktobe, Kyzylorda, South-Kazakhstan and Zhambyl. 23 Main Contractors and 80 Subcontractors, more than 35 thousand people, have been involved, 6 thousand units of equipment, 30 asphalt concrete, 24 cement concrete and 32 crushing plants have been mobilized. Construction works, in general, are executed in accordance with the schedules. Till date 19.2 million cubic meters of roadbed (74% of annual plan) have been filled out, 550 km of crushed stone base have been arranged (75%), 522 km of pavement have been arranged (70%), including 135 km of cement concrete (68%).
According to the results of the meeting Mr. Shukeyev U.E., First Deputy of Prime Minister of the RK, has given a number of instructions: Ministry of Transport and Communications within the Contracts should take active measures for the Contractors, who have backlogs of time schedules; Ministry of Oil and Gas should consider the matter of provision with quotes for fuels and lubricants (diesel fuel) for implementation of the Project “Western Europe – Western China”; Ministry of Transport and Communications and Regional Akimats should activate the work for purchasing of land plots.
