Berik Kamaliev, Minister of Transport and Communications, conducted the call conference regarding implementation of the Project “Western Europe – Western China” on November 18, 2011.

Zamir Saginov, Chairman of the Committee for Roads, as well as the Directors of Regional Departments of Aktobe, Kyzylorda, South-Kazakhstan, Zhambyl and Almaty regions, informed about current status of Project implementation.

The progress of works has been also discussed regarding purchase of land plots. Based on the results of the call conference, the Head of transport Department gave a number of specific instructions. Thus, Directors of Aktobe and Zhambyl Regional Departments till 1 December of the current year; Directors of Kyzylorda and South-Kazakhstan Regional department till 15 December should ensure submission of finalized Certificates to the Committee for Roads MTC. They should complete all types of works and sum up the results till 15 December of the current year. They should also provide complete disbursement in accordance with financing plans. Control should become tougher and measures of punishment should be taken regarding Managers of the Contractors, who frustrate schedules for work execution.
