Serious backlogs behind the time schedule can be observed during constr5uction works for Lots 6 and 8 in Kyzylorda Oblast, executed by Azerbaijan-Turkish Company “Akkord-Okan”.

Construction works for 2 mentioned road section in Oblast were started in the end of January 2010. Total length of the road section is 107.5 km. Target completion for road construction works is the end of June 2013. 7 Subcontractors are involved in the construction works. As per time schedule the works are required to be completed for 49 km, however, overall 35.05 km have been constructed for the 8th of December.

1.9 units of bridges and overpasses have been built for two road sections, with target 11.98 units. As per status for the 1st of December, 20.2 units of culverts have been arranged, with target 83.9 units. Manpower – 544 people have been involved, including 52 international.

Company is short in equipment. At present the required quantity of dumpers has not been mobilized. With target 295 units for 2011, overall 199 units have been mobilized. Constructors require other equipment, such as excavators, loaders and rollers.

There is a backlog in procurement of construction materials. If the required quantity of gravel sand mix – 216.16 thousand m3 - has been procured for Lot 6, then Lot 8 requires additional 200 thousand m3 for target. 2 cement concrete and 1 asphalt concrete plants have not been put into operation yet.

At the same time one should mention that the funds, provided for 2011, have been overall disbursed.
