The participants, who spoke at the meeting, concurred that completion of the construction for International Transit Corridor “Western Europe – Western China”, which passes through the territory of 5 regions in Kazakhstan, will certainly provide development of small and medium business, particularly in the most dense populated region – in South-Kazakhstan Oblast. It means new workers, development of infrastructure.   

«Shymkent is a heart of Silk Way. And one cannot underestimate marvelous natural landscape of the area. Besides it the historical places will become “bargaining chips” of the region» - Mr. Tugelbai Bekbergenov, Head of the Department for Regional Development of Infrastructure and Tourism of the Committee for Tourism Industry of the Ministry for Industry and New Technologies of the RK mentioned in his speech.

 - Seven centers have been already established for development of tourism in Oblast. Ancient cities Turkestan and Otrar, as well as Kaskasu, apply to the first category. Construction of mountain skiing camp, which will hold its own to Shymbulak, has been planned in Kaskasu, - said Mr. Saparbek Tuyakbaev, Akim’s Deputy of Oblast.

As is known, the negotiations with investors have already been conducted during the meeting held. And about 4 billion tenge have been provided for establishment of relevant infrastructure in southern region.
