During winter season the constructors put on a wide scale procurement of gravel sand mix, sand and other inert materials, as well as repair works for recovery of machinery and preparation of it by commencement of construction season in 2013.

Reference: “AKM-PLANUM” LLP” was established on December 28, 2011 based on the joining of “Akmola Kurylys Materialdary” LLP and «PLANUM (CYPRUS) LIMITED». In accordance with the signed Contract dated from 2010 with the Committee for Roads of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan for performance of civil works the company has undertaken to reconstruct the road section “Temirlan By-Pass” km 2216.1-2231 in Orabassy raion of South-Kazakhstan Oblast of the highway “Border of RF (to Samar) – Shymkent” with total length of 14.8 km.

Within the project the construction has been planned for 2 interchanges, 8 bridges and overpasses. Out of mobilized equipment for the month of February in the current year 152 units in number with target of 175 units, Contractor has 67 units of his own. 335 people of the staff have been mobilized with target of 240 people by the commencement of construction season. 

Laboratory has been equipped for works on fractional materials and concrete, as well as asphalt concrete mixes. Concrete has been produced in 2 operating plants.

5 Subcontractors have been involved in the project; they have engaged for the construction of subgrade, bridges, relocation of water pipeline and communication lines.

The Contractor is facing some problems for construction, such as absence of permanent land acquisition for road construction, lack of permission for deforestation and plantation. All these are affecting the completion of the Program for 2013.
