Yesterday, 30 June 2014 was a deadline for submission of Technical & Financial proposals for Construction Supervision Consultants under EBRD financed Shymkent – Tashkent road sections km 742-774 and km 774-806. According to the Minutes of Technical proposals opening procedure 4 out of 7 shortlisted companies submitted their proposals.

The Contract will be awarded to the company with the highest score after evaluation of Technical and Financial proposals under QCBS procedures in accordance with the EBRD Procurement Policies and Rules and upon approval of the Bank.

Both sections of A-2 road between Shymkent and Tashkent from km 742-774 and km 774-806 are located in the Kazygurt raion of the South Kazakhstan Oblast.

A-2 road is the main highway connecting South Kazakhstan with the Republic of Uzbekistan. The road is designed for Technical Category 1-B with 4 lanes. The road pavement is a rigid type constructed using cement concrete pavement.

The detailed engineering design for the reconstruction works was done by Designing company “SK Engineering” LLP in 2013.
