Earthworks are fully completed currently, subbase is procured, crushed stone sand mix base course is treated by cement, as well as works for costruction of cement concrete pavement at ramps of transport interchanges are being held.

JSC "Cengiz Insaat" is General contractor. Scope of work includes the construction of the road section from Kordai village to Blagoveschenka village of Kordai raoin of Zhambyl region.

To date, barrier fencing is being installed at the section on ramps of interchanges and along the main road. Foundations, berms (islets for road signs) and road signs are being installed according to working documentation. Completion percentage of bridges and overpasses is 95%. Asphalt concrete pavement is laid on 4 bridges, 5 bridges are given for asphalt concrete pavement. Waterproofing works are being held on 3 bridges. Slope strengthening works are being done on all 12 bridges of this section.

Along with this culverts strengthening works in paving areas and channel strengthening are bing implemented. Cement concrete pavement is completed on rest areas, concrete form is being set for overpasses. The material procurement is underway according to the signed schedules of materials delivery.

It should be noted that 217 units of road construction machinery and equipment are being mobilized, including 2 pavers Vogele SUPER 1900-2, and 1 paver Vogele SUPER 2100-2.

Asphalt pavers of SUPER series differs by optimal size, high performance of paving 900-1100 tons/hour and, besides, they are extremely mobile. All this explains the high efficiency and reliability of these machines.

Note that "Kordai Bypass" km 162-260 is being constructed under the technical category 2 with construction of embankment and structures for technical category I of 4-lane road. 946 people are involved in construction works.

At the same time, due to the traffic flow increase and accidents it is required to start the work for bringing the section for category I. In this regard, Ministry of Transport and Communications is working out the issue of the road bringing under category I with 4 lanes. For this Development of design and estimate documentation was started.
