During celebration of the anniversary of the Institute, the third Working Group Meeting on improving the roads’ design in Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine was held.  

The management of the Committee of roads, Kazakhstan road organizations, as well as leading industry experts from CIS countries took part in the event. The guests got acquainted with the laboratory of the Institute and visited the construction site of Almaty - Kapshagai road.

"It is important that KazDorNII pays great attention to the training of qualified personnel. As you know, there is a Training Center for further training of workers of the road sector at the Institute. To date, already 867 professionals in 11 directions have taken courses. Furthermore, KazDorNII is testing new technologies, many of which are used extensively in construction", - said Mr. Mereke Pshembayev, Chairman of the Committee for Roads MID RK.

In addition, participants had a Working Group meeting on the development of a normative document "road pavement design" for Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.

According to the president of "KazdorNII" JSC Mr. Bagdat Teltayev, approaches to the road design in the post-Soviet countries have not been updated for more than 50 years, so it was decided to improve the existing rules. KazDorNII takes part in this process actively. As noted by the partners of Kazakhstan, logistical and scientific base of the Institute allows finding the best solutions for the construction and maintenance of roads, taking into account the climatic conditions of each country.

"KazDorNII" JSC is the leader in the field of assessment and quality control of road construction materials in Kazakhstan. The Institute is equipped with modern technical facilities for research. For example, not so long ago KazdorNII has acquired multifunctional mobile laboratory to diagnose the state of the roads, as well as a mobile system for certification of road.

The Institute has pioneered the practice of construction of new materials and technologies. Since 2009 KazDorNII provides Project Management Consulting services for "Western Europe - Western China" project sections in South Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda and Aktobe oblasts.
