JV "Dena Rahsaz" (Iran) and "Sargin" (Turkey) is the Contractor at this section. The length of the tunnel in one direction is 840 m out of the total length of section 40.5 km.

As of 20 January 2015 the works on the development of soil and blasting operations at the entrance of the tunnel has been done in the amount of 73 thousand m3 out of 73 thousand m3 (100%). At the exit of the tunnel out of 56 thousand m3 56 thousand m3 have been executed (100%). On the service tunnel out of 10 thousand m3 according to design 10 thousand m3 soil have been executed (100%).

32,660 m3 of tunnel has been executed by underground way. 222 meters at the right side, 191 meters at the left side, including service tunnel - 51 meters. Spraying of concrete has been arranged in the amount of 4265 m3. Total 180 pcs crepe have been installed. 10,500 m2 grid and 3500 rm rods for strengthening of crown were installed.

The following road construction machinery are involved in the construction of the Tunnel section:

- Horizontal drilling machine - 3 pcs,

- Vertical drilling machine – 3 pcs,

- Bulldozer - 1 pc,

- Excavator - 5 pcs,

- Loader - 3 pcs,

- Dump - 10 pcs.

- Compressor - 2 pcs

- Generator - 4 pcs

- Equipment for the pouring of sprayed concrete - 3 pcs

- Water tank truck - 7 pcs

- Concrete mixing station 40 m3 / h - 1 pc

- Concrete mixer - 3 pcs

- Fans - 5 pcs

Mobile form for concrete pouring of tunnel crown has been mobilized.

Total number of personnel working on tunneling is 126, including 40 foreign and 86 local staff.

The State expertise approval №01-0646/14 was obtained in October 20, 2014 for the construction of the Tunnel.
