The National operator "NC" KazAutoZhol" JSC plans to reconstruct more than 7 thousand km of roads under this program for the total amount of 2.4 trillion tenge, reports BNews.kz correspondent.
In general, this year under "Nurly Zhol" program at the expense of Republican budget 22 Contractors and more than 60 Subcontractors are working on reconstruction of 1234 km, of which 270 km will be put into operation at the end of the year.
Pursuant to the President's Address "Nurly Zhol" the State program of infrastructural development of Kazakhstan for 2015-2019 years has been developed, which will connect the capital city with all regions on the principle of hub-spoke spread. Under this program, the National operator "NC" KazAutoZhol" JSC plans to reconstruct more than 7 thousand km of highways totaling 2.4 trillion tenge.
Implementation of these projects will be carried out by the National Fund and the republican budget, and it is also planned to attract IFI loans for the following projects of Astana - Almaty, Astana - Aktobe, Aktobe-Atyrau-Astrakhan, Zhetybai - Zhanaozen and Uzynagash-Otar. In addition, the memorandum with Eximbank (PRC) was signed to finance the reconstruction of roads Taldykorgan - Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kalbatau-Maikapshagai and Merke-Burubaital-Aksuek. Feasibility study will be developped for all these projects in the current year, construction works under these roads are planned to commence in 2016.
In parallel with the construction works design estimates development is being held under 48 sections, the length of which is 2074 km under the following roads: "Astana-Almaty", "Astana-Ust-Kamenogorsk", "Astana-Aktau", "Uzynagash-Otar" "Kokshetau-Petropavlovsk" and "South-West bypass of Astana".
About 5 thousand units of equipment and machinery and more than 10 thousand people have been mobilized as of today. It is planned that at the peak of the program (2017-2018), about 200 thousand people will be involved in the reconstruction of roads, including related industries, which will give a new impetus to the economy.
