General Contractor Chinese company «Sinohydro Corporation & Limited» started reconstruction works of the abovementioned section in September 2013. The section total length is 40.2 km.
The General Contractor has hired a number of Subcontractors to perform various works. For example, the Subcontractor "Kurylys" LLP has committed itself to carry out earthworks, subbase. "Ak Zhol" LLP is engaged in earthworks, subbase, and culverts. "Bereke-A" LLP - construction of overpass and bridge works; "Kazspetselektromontazh PGS" LLP - reconstruction of power transmission lines; «KazaTService» LLP - relocation of communication lines; "Training and Production Plant Adhesion" LLP - reconstruction of pipelines; "Omar Trans" LLP is implementing road markings.
General Contractor "Sinohaydro" is performing pavement works from cement concrete by itself. For these purposes the Contractor has «Wirtgen» SP 1600 paver and three concrete plants. Capacity of three plants are 360 m3 per hour of ready mixed concrete.
As of September 2, 2015 the percentage of earthworks performed by 52.5%; subbase - 71.7%; base course from CSSCM - 71.5%; cement concrete pavement - 61.9%; Bridges - 61.9%; culverts - 68.42%.
According to Engineers for solving problems in connection with the delay it is necessary to:
- Increase the supply and procurement of inert materials during work progress; increase the amount of necessary equipment.
- Mobilize equipment and personnel in accordance with the approved works schedule for 2015.
- Organize two-shift work for the successful implementation of the plan of 2015.
- Attract additional subcontractors for the construction of bridges and overpasses, to tighten control over the quality of bridges works.
- Together with the Employer to resolve the issues on additional works.
- Resolve the issue of land acquisition in the shortest possible time.
- Solve the problem of obtaining a permit for construction in the buffer zone of the gas pipeline AGP (Asian gas pipeline), it is necessary in the area of pipeline intersection to redesign the axis of the road with changing the horizontal curve radius.
