On 24 August 2015 Taraz bypass was opened for traffic

Opening of Taraz bypass section with the length of 65 km for traffic was held officially with participation of representatives of regional Akimat, Zhambyl regional branck of KazAutoZhol JSC, Contractor «KCC Engineering & Construction Co.», Engineer «SAI Consulting Engineers PVT» and citizens of the region.

Out of 65 km of road, 7,7 km is 4 lane road with concrete pavement, and 57 km is 2 lane road woth asphalt pavement. There are 4 interchanges, 12 bridges, 131 culverts on this section.

Construction of Taraz bypass will unclog vehicle flow in regional center; it will ensure increase of traffic speed and enhance traffic safety.

Full completion of work is expected by the end of this year. And when it is completed it will ensure the safety of motoryst, reduce traffic congestion, air pollution and make significant improvement in the road network in and around Taraz area for the benefit of local community with respect to the road traffic accident, reduce the travel time by high uninterrupted road outside Taraz.
