ASTANA. KAZINFORM - It is symbolic that the leader of the nation Nursultan Nazarbayev announced the program "Nurly Zhol" at a time when the international community is facing a new challenge due to the economic crisis to help. This program is aimed to help Kazakhstan to get out of this situation with minimal losses.

One of today's global initiative is the revival of the Great Silk Road, due to what it is supposed to establish close economic relations between the countries of the region. One of the directions of the project runs from China through Kazakhstan, Russia to the Baltic Sea. Another line also passes through Kazakhstan, but leads to the Mediterranean Sea, one of the hubs of global trade. The geographical advantage of Kazakhstan in the project of the new Silk Road is huge; It should be remembered that the implementation of the project depends not only on Kazakhstan. It can only be implemented in cooperation with the neighboring countries.

The international community recognizes that over the years of independence Kazakhstan has been able to build a solid political foundation for sustainable development, maintain social stability. At the same time Kazakhstan confidently took the lead on economic development in the region. Its economic impact on neighboring countries is increasing from year to year.

As is known, Kazakhstan's leader Nursultan Nazarbayev urged the government led by him to make the biggest transit hub of the Central Asian region. At the plenary session of the Foreign Investors Council under the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev presented the project "New Silk Road". The head of state assured that Kazakhstan should become a bridge between Europe and Asia, thereby reviving its historic role.

Sharing his plans, Nursultan Nazarbayev said: "My vision is the creation of single complex hubs of international level, trade and logistics, financial, business, innovation and technology and tourism in the key transport corridors of Kazakhstan. According to the President, "several "S" principles” speed, service, safety and stability will be implemented in the "New Silk Road" project.

Transport and logistics hub is the main element of the "New Silk Road" and it will be developed on the basis being created at the moment by the national carrier company "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy". In particular, in the west of Kazakhstan Aktau sea port will be extended and logistics center will be constructed in Aktobe (these objects will become "western gate" of the republic and access to the Caspian region, Russia and further to Europe). In 2015, Western Europe - Western China corridor will be completed and the work under expanding of the capacity of the railway network of the country will be continued.
