Does Shymkent - Tashkent road section also refer to this project? Why are there no information on this section? Are the results of the tender for the Contractor, CSC and PMC known? If the tender did not take place, then when will it be held? I can not find this information on your and MoTC website as well! There is also no information about PMC of Almaty-Khorgos section? Please help with information!

How do you do! I can not accept the answer to question number 284. "Otar post - Almaty" section is included in the WE-WC project, and the question is correct and timely. A couple of years ago, I have asked similar question. I have received response (in short) – this road allows fulfilling the planned cargo traffic. But it is now clear that the existing road with second technical category will become the Achilles' heel of the whole southern section of perfect highway in all respects.

1. According to the schemes published on your website, Almaty-border of Zhambyl oblast section (up to 160 km) is not subject to reconstruction. While the condition of roadbed especially from Almaty to the post of police near Uzynagash is already of poor condition. Also part of the road from the post of police up to 160 km (Otar police post) refers to second technical category that with the increase of traffic flow will not be able to pass the projected number of vehicles.
I consider it is necessary to carry out reconstruction of the section with its transition to the first technical category and detour of Samsa and Targap villages.
2. It is necessary to carry out the road reconstruction as follows. Divide oncoming traffic with the construction of a buffer zone of 20-50 m of gravel to avoid possible head-on collision of vehicles (for example as in Europe, particularly in Finland Helsinki- Tampere highway). Currently constructed metal fences perform only a decorative function and can not stop trucks like KAMAZ from driving to the oncoming lane.
